Carrier Link consists of two integrated market formats for optimum transportation purchasing: Contract Tender and Private Spot Market. Our proprietary load tendering technology enables you to establish rules based on carrier preference, performance, rate, timing and other criteria, and the system tenders to each market format accordingly. The exclusive cascade technology automatically retenders loads to the next carrier if the load within your rate and time requirements is not accepted by the first carrier.
Contract Tender. Electronically tenders a load to your core carrier, based on specific rules, with a previously negotiated contract rate attached.
Private Spot Market. Electronically tenders a load to your core carrier base (or a subset) simultaneously, enabling you to use your contract rate as a base price, while fielding lower bids from your core carriers. The Private Spot Market has a dynamic set of rules varied by product, region and division that determines the carrier base to which the load is tendered, the transparency of pricing and the timing of load acceptance to meet internal requirements.
Pre-shipment Services. Includes appointment scheduling, which can occur before planning, after planning or by the carrier and operational reports and schedules, which can be sent to ERP/OMS or WMS systems.
Business Intelligence. Offers a central transportation data repository with reporting functionality. Shippers can analyze how well they are managing operations and carriers can review their performance via a report card function.
